The River Bend Bistro has an official approved construction permit in order to move forward with preparing the restaurant for its opening in July. The permit is posted on the window of the property located at Hollin Hall Shopping Center.

Discussion surrounding the widening of Richmond Highway has been circling for years now, and Alexandria residents will soon see the beginning of that project. The section of the road between Mount Vernon Memorial Highway and Telegraph Road will go from four to six lanes.

3. 'Jack Diamond Show' Fans: Furious, Frustrated Over 107.3 Change

Yanking "The Jack Diamond Morning Show," a beloved 24-year institution in the Washington, D.C. area, off the air has unleashed a firestorm of commentary from distraught fans of the program.

In addition to more than 100 comments on Patch, more than 1,000 comments in one day on Diamond's Facebook page showed listener frustration about the move at the station, owned by Atlanta-based Cumulus.
