Thunderstorms Expected for Hybla Valley

Rain expected all day Monday in the Hybla Valley area

Update: 12:51 p.m. The National Weather Service has canceled the tornado watch for our area, but the rain and thunderstorms should continue.

Update: 12:12 p.m. Rain's falling pretty steadily here in Hybla Valley. Careful if you're out there on the roads. It's likely to continue falling through rush hour.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Hybla Valley , Fairfax County and most of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area until 4 p.m. this afternoon.

Residents can expect strong gusts of wind to continue throughout late morning through the evening. Strong to severe thunderstorms as well as isolated tornadoes are also predicted.

Temperatures could reach a high of 70 degrees today.
