Mount Vernon High to Name Athletic Field for Jeff Todd

1. Fairfax County offers free child safety seat inspections on the last Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Fairfax. This Saturday is the inspection day for August.
2. On Sunday, you can shred up to 25 pounds of paper for free at ShredStation Express in Alexandria.
3. The Mount Vernon High School athletic field will be named in honor of Jeff Todd on Sept. 16, contingent upon approval from the Fairfax County School Board.
4. The Alexandria Singers group is holding open auditions for the fall season in September.
5. Today is Kiss and Make Up Day.
