UPDATE: Power Restored to All But About 40 Homes in Greater Alexandria Area

UPDATE Saturday 7:45 a.m.: A Dominion Power map shows power is restored to all but about 40 homes in the area, after power was knocked out Friday night.

Thirty-three homes in Fort Hunt are still without power, according to the map; five homes in Groveton are without power.

A large number of homes near Huntington Avenue appear to have their lights back on.

A severe thunderstorm has knocked out power Friday night to about 250 homes in the Greater Alexandria area.

According to the Dominion Power outage map, 123 homes are without power in the Huntington area; 85 in the Groveton area, and 33 homes in Fort Hunt.
