1. The Mount Vernon Athletic Club is holding a  on Saturday from 9am to 12pm. Local firefighters will be at the event to show their support and tell kids about the fire trucks they use.
2. The National Weather Service has issued a Code Orange Air Quality Alert for today and the forecast is mostly sunny skies with a high near 95 degrees.
3. The Mt Vernon District Democratic Committee is holding a forum for Democratic primary candidates in the 30th State Senate District tonight at 7pm.
