5 Things to Know Today in Fort Hunt- July 18

NWS issues air quality alert for D.C. region

  1. A new botanically-themed exhibition runs now through September 30th at the River Farm. The free show features paintings by Juleen Stacy and photography by three artists.
  2. The National Weather Service has issued an air quality alert for the D.C. area today. Officials have set a code orange air quality alert, which means that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups including children, residents with asthma or lung disease and the elderly.
  3. The monthly  is tomorrow at 1pm at the Hollin Hall Senior Center. Christine Rose will give a presentation entitled “Leaping to Erroneous Conclusions.”
