5 Things to Know Today in Fort Hunt- July 15

Paper shredding event; free summer camp

1. You can shred up to 25 pounds of paper for free on Sunday from 12pm to 5pm at the Paper Shredding Event in Alexandria.
2.  starts this Monday at Pat Troy's Ireland's Own in Old Town. The six-week speaker series hosted by the Catholic Diocese of Arlington is open to everyone who is at least 21 years old.
3. Fairfax County is sponsoring Camp Seed, a free camp for children in grades 6-10 that includes two nights in Shenandoah National Park. The sessions are August 8-12 and August 15-19.
4. Yesterday we ran a story about a school board candidate who was removed from the board of Fairfax County Council of PTAs due to alleged improper use of her position to further her campaign.
