• Fort Belvoir is hosting  on the Fourth of July from 5pm to 10pm. The free event with fireworks and live music is open to eligible MWR patrons.
• The  offers storytelling sessions for children ages 3 to 8 on Saturdays and Sundays. The new theme for July is 'Independence.'
• Every month three local Roy Rogers Restaurants donate to charity a portion of the sale when you purchase a party pack of 8, 12, 16, 20 or 50 piece chicken. The charity for July is Good Shepherd Housing.
• In case you missed it, yesterday we ran after a virus struck the Fairfax County Animal Shelter.
• Today in 1961, Princess Diana was born in England.
