5 Things (and More!) to Know Today in Hybla Valley

1. Free child identification and fingerprinting will be offered by the Sheriff's Office Saturday in the Mount Vernon area from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
2. ShredStation is offering free computer recycling tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
3. The Mount Vernon District Democratic Committee is hosting an ice cream social Saturday afternoon to kick off the fall campaign season.
4.  is Saturday. Students will knock on doors in the community from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to raise money for the Fine Arts programs at the school.
5. If you are going to be near the Mount Vernon Estate tomorrow or Sunday, be prepared to hear occasional gun and cannon-fire that will be a part of the  event from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
6. A new ESL class is starting at UCM's Workforce Development Center on Monday, September 12.
7. Actor Adam Sandler turns 45 years old today.
8. Today is Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Awareness Day.
