BALTIMORE (March 27, 2014) Safe Ship, a nationally-franchised chain of shipping and packaging stores, has signed a lease with St. John Properties, Inc. for 5520 square feet of space at 44190 Waxpool Road in the Ashburn Technology Park. Danny Severn of St. John Properties represented the landlord, with Eamon McCrann and Jed Prossner of Lincoln Property Company representing the tenant in this transaction. Safe Ship’s Northern Virginia location is expected to be operational this spring.


                          Ashburn Technology Park, honored last year with the “Best Building, R&D/Flex/Industrial” award from NAIOP Northern Virginia, is a 43-acre business community situated near Washington-Dulles International Airport that consists of 445,000 square feet of space. Located off Waxpool Road (VA Route 625) and the Dulles Greenway, Ashburn Technology Park includes eight R&D buildings with featured tenants such as Carrier Corporation, Comcast, Dulles Area Association of Realtors, Volkswagen/Audi and VeriSign. The business community is in the heart of “data center alley” near VA Route 7 and Interstates 66, 95 and 495.


                          Safe Ship, founded more than 20 years ago and recognized as among the fast-growing and best-managed franchises in the country, is a packing and shipping retail operation that functions as a local Post Office and works in partnership with the United States Postal Service and major shipping companies including FedEx, DHL and Greyhound GPX.
