Myriad Men's Health Problems to be treated with Opening of Revolutionary Specialty Clinic in Alexandria

There’s a new clinic that has marked its debut in Alexandria, offering a revolutionary approach to men’s health that is improving the physical, emotional and sexual health of patients.  Men developing stubborn abdominal fat that just won’t go away, are feeling listless and less than enthusiastic about life, whose sexual vitality has lost its luster or whose relationships are suffering are being helped nationwide thanks to Boston Medical Group (BMG), which opened its 22nd location (its 3rd in the Washington, D.C./Baltimore area) on Wednesday, November 6 at 4216 King Street. Oftentimes these conditions are inextricably linked so BMG treats its male patients on a comprehensive level rather than merely attending to the symptoms, said John Hayes, M.D, Medical Director of BMG Washington D.C., who has treated 10,000 patients since 2003.

“Men are needlessly suffering from myriad of health issues that, too often, are misdiagnosed or not connected on a holistic level,” said Hayes.  “BMG is experiencing explosive growth due to our proprietary approach to treating our patients, many of whom have suffered for years often feeling there was no hope for them.”

One of BMG’s newest treatment modalities is dramatically improving the sex lives and overall health of its patients. The therapy involves increasing testosterone levels that naturally decline as men reach their 30’s (an estimated 1% per year).  “Low T” adversely impacts their mental, physical and sexual health leading to decreased energy levels, loss of muscle mass, increased fat around the mid-section, listless outlook on life and weak sexual performance.

To check for Low T, BMG encourages men to take the “3 for T” test:

·       LACKLUSTER SEX LIFE: Less interest in sex, erectile dysfunction, inability to sustain erections, difficulty achieving orgasm, reduced intensity of orgasm and low amounts of ejaculatory fluid.

·       MOOD:  Low energy, increased fatigue, Loss of motivation (e.g., work, relationship, friendships), irritability, dissatisfaction with life and depression.

·       PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS: Loss of muscle strength and mass, accumulation of fat (especially in stomach area), low bone density and frequently feeling tired.

Another proprietary aspect of the practice is treatment for erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation.  Massachusetts Male Aging Study reports that 52% of males suffer from ED with the incidence increasing as one ages (i.e., 40% of those aged 40, 70% aged 70) and compounding the problem is evidence that sexual desire decreases as men grow older.  Other factors increasing the probability of developing ED are heart disease, hypertension, obesity and diabetes.  While the pharmaceutical companies are enjoying annual sales of more than $5 billion with the likes of Viagra, Cialis and Levitra, many men do not respond to these popular drugs (60% of men who are prescribed Viagra never renew their prescriptions due to lack of efficacy or adverse side effects.)

BMG offers a treatment option that is 99% effective and offers no adverse side effects so those with heart disease, psychological issues and other conditions have a safe alternative to pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals (herbal remedies sold over the counter).
