Metro School of the Arts Summer Registration Open

If hip-hop, tap, jazz, ballet, guitar, percussion and theatre are passions for your child, check out the many summer programs at Metropolitan School of the Arts (MSA) of Alexandria and Lorton, Va. MSA brings instructors from around the U.S, offering top-of-the-line instruction and camps to their youngest students, to teens polishing their craft.  Registration is open now for summer classes starting in July. Metropolitan School of the Arts offers pre-professional summer dance, music theater and acting camps, as well as a wide variety of youth summer camps where students can explore and learn many facets of the performing and visual arts, including mini camps for our youngest students, ages 3 to 6, youth camps for students in grades 1 to 6, and teen arts camps for students in grades 7 to12. Private summer music lessons are also available for piano, voice, guitar, violin and drums.

Youth Camps and Workshops for grades 1 to 6, include Arts Exploration Camp, Dance Team & Cheerleading Camp, Frosty Follies Workshop, Under the Big Top, New York, New York, Lights- Camera-Action and Pop Star Camp. For our younger students, MSA Mini-Camps for ages 3 to 5 include Lego Creation Camp, Broadway Bound, American Girl, Pinkalicious!, The World of Dance, Fairy Tale Ballet, The Wonderful World of Dr. Seuss, Fun with Shrek!, Sophia the First, The Story of Frozen, Kidz Bop Dance Party and Tangled with Rapunzel.

“We’ve expanded our summer programs this year to include all ages, and created themed mini-camps for our youngest students, where they can learn, be engaged and entertained as well,” said Melissa Dobbs, president of Metropolitan School of the Arts of Lorton, Va.
