Virginia Florist Prepares for Valentine's Day

Top sellers include roses and tulips.

The Virginia Florist is getting ready for Valentine's Day.

Virginia Florist buyer Hope Jones said Tuesday the wholesale price of flowers has increased, which is why shoppers have seen an increase in the price of flowers.

Jones sees a lot of men come in to order flowers for their sweethearts on Valentine's Day. The classic bouquet of a dozen red roses is a popular choice for Valentine's Day, as well as tulips and mixed floral arrangements with spring flowers. Orchid wraps are a new product, and are affordable at $15.
