The longtime Mount Vernon-area business relocated on Saturday.
Local business Sun Sew Vac has relocated from the Mount Vernon Plaza to a storefront next to the Gold's Gym on Richmond Highway this past weekend.
Owner Robert Hines, Jr. said he decided to move his business from the Mount Vernon Plaza due to lower rent and more parking availability.
"It's a smaller place and a little less rent, but it'll give people easier access to the store," Hines told Patch.

. The shop carries a wide selection of vacuums, sewing machines, carpet and hardwood cleaners, as well as sewer-friendly furniture. The shop was located in the Mount Vernon Plaza for a number of years before moving to a storefront in a neighboring shopping center. The shop opened in its new location Tuesday morning.
"It's been great, it's a nice new place," Hines told Patch.

Sun Sew Vac is now located at 7770-E Richmond Highway in Alexandria.
