Stratford Landing Hosts Open House, Popsicle Party

The students met their teachers for the 2013-2014 school year and celebrated the school's 50th anniversary.

Stratford Landing Elementary School had its open house and popsicle party event at 2 p.m. Thursday. Students returning to the classroom Sept. 3 had the opportunity to visit the school to meet their teachers and have a little fun before the school year officially begins.

Stratford Landing's PTA organized the popsicle party after the open house event to celebrate the school's 50th Anniversary. Festivities included a DJ, beach balls, popsicles and hula hoops.

Interim Principal Janet Funk and the PTA led by Sara Jefferies has been working on making major improvements at the school.
