Local Musician Performed at National Christmas Tree Ceremony

Alex W. Young is a popular performer at the Ocean City boardwalk.

Musician Alex W. Young of Fort Hunt has music in his blood.

Young has dreamt of being a singer since he was a child. He got his start performing in the Belle View Elementary School choir in 3rd grade, and in 5th grade, he began playing the trumpet.

Years later, he has become an accomplished rhythm guitarist and singer who recently performed at the National Christmas Tree Lighting in Washington, D.C. Young was selected to perform in the pre-show, performing in front of 21,000 guests in President’s Park. Young also performs locally during the winter, but as soon as summer hits, he takes his act to the Ocean City boardwalk. He also performs at the Metro during rush hour, entertaining the crowds coming home.
