When Does Daylight Saving End?

We "fall back" this coming weekend. What will you do with your extra hour?

Daylight saving time will end this Sunday, Nov. 4 at 2 a.m.

This means you will "fall back" and set your clocks back one hour. Daylight saving begins again on March 10, 2013.

That extra hour gives you a chance to get out in Northern Virginia and have some fun, or get some extra sleep.

When you change your clocks in the fall and spring, it’s also a good time to change smoke detector batteries and check to make sure they are in working order, local fire officials say.

Arizona, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, the U.S. Virgin Islands and American Samoa do not observe Daylight Saving.

Around the world, about 75 countries and territories have at least one location that observes daylight saving time, according to TimeandDate.com. On the other hand, 164 don't observe the time change at all.
