Weekend Weather: Cold Snap

NWS predicts Saturday temps will only reach 47 degrees and possible first freeze of the season Saturday night.

Get ready to bundle up for a chilly weekend. The National Weather Service predicts temperatures will only go up to 51 degrees on Friday and then dip even more on Saturday, with a high of 47 degrees with a 70 percent chance of rain.

Northern Virginia could even see its first freeze Saturday night although most predictions call for lows to dip just above that to about 37 degrees. Last year, the first freeze occurred toward the end of November.

The Capital Weather Gang said there is a very outside chance of...snow on Saturday.
