A New Farmer's Market? MVCCA Conducting Survey

A survey soliciting residents' opinions on a possible Belle Haven Shopping Center Farmer's Market will close on June 20.

Are local residents interested in a farmer's market at the Belle View Shopping Center?

The Mount Vernon Council of Citizens' Associations (MVCCA) Consumer Affairs Committee is currently conducting a feasability survey to determine residents' interest in it.

According to a recent press release from the MVCCA, the Belle View Merchants Association have expressed interest in having a farmer's market at the shopping center in the past.

The MVCCA considers the shopping center an ideal location because it is located in a high vehicular and pedestrian traffic area. The purpose of the organization's survey is to "determine the feasibility for establishing a farmers' market in the BVSC and not to obtain information to move the Mount Vernon Farmer's Market." The Mount Vernon Farmer's Market will remain at its current location at the Sherwood Regional Library.
