King Street Blues in Kingstowne transforming into Irish Pub on eve of St.Patty's Day

Owner Mark White hasn't revealed a name, but wants pub ready in time for the holiday.

Earlier this week, King Street Blues in Kingstowne announced on theirFacebook page plans to close for a couple of months to renovate.

There was speculation as to what would happen to the establishment, but owner Mark White has decided to convert it into an Irish Pub according to the Washington Business Journal.

White, a native of Ireland, wants to open the pub by March 10th in time for St. Patrick's Day.  The pub will seat over 200, including some patrons on a new outdoor patio.

The goal is to begin construction on King Street Blues next week. So far, White has not disclosed what he plans to name the pub.
