Farmers Market to Stay Open Until December

The McCutcheon/Mount Vernon farmers market will be open until mid-December.

The dates for the McCutcheon/Mount Vernon farmers market have been extended. The market was originally open at 8 a.m. every Wednesday until Nov. 27.

However, due to customer and vendor feedback, the market will stay open until Dec. 18 — three more weeks than what was originally planned. According to Fairfax County Farmers Market Coordinator Megan Carroll, if the extended three weeks go well, the county hopes to keep the extended dates in years to come.

The farmers market is open weekly from 8 a.m. to noon each Wednesday at Sherwood Regional Library in Alexandria. You can expect to find dairy products, produce, cut flowers, meats and baked goods.
