Mount Vernon 4H "A Taste of Sports" Summer Project

Boys and girls ages 9-18 are invited to join the newly-formed Mount Vernon 4H Club for their summer project "A Taste of Sports".  Bike the Mt. Vernon Trail, focus on fitness, join in a game of baseball or soccer, and more!  4H is an informal, practical, learn-by-doing, fun and educational program for boys and girls ages 9-18.  "4H is fun and great for you!  We hope more kids from the Mount Vernon area will join us!, encourages Victor Fuentes, a rising 6th grader at Stratford Landing Elementary School and Club President.  The Mount Vernon Club holds their business meetings the 1st Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at the Hollin Hall Senior Center.  Kids plan on-going projects led by volunteers from the Center and/or parents and may participate in county and state sponsored projects such as 4H Congress, Talent Show, Kids Tech University, the annual 4H Fair, and more.  4H is sponsored by the Virginia Cooperative Extension.
