Construction on Costco is moving full speed ahead. Wednesday, construction workers were working on the sidewalk between the new store and Walmart.
During construction on Wednesday, one of the lanes on Richmond Highway was blocked to motorists to ensure workers' safety and also backed up traffic a little during the afternoon.
Costco is currently hiring in preparation for its expected opening in August. An office has been set up at the Mount Vernon Crossroads Shopping Center where applications for employment are being accepted.
