I miss the old Greater Alexandria Patch newsletter. The one that featured LOCAL news instead of the same stories all the Patch newsletters now carry. For instance, what was the giant BOOM heard in the Bucknell Manor area Friday night that sent neighbors outside, firetrucks with search lights, and police cars??? I want our Mount Vernon District crime reports and West Potomac news, etc. Please, please, please bring back the old newsletter!

Thanks for the comments, and we absolutely miss Drew, too! We are redesigning the sites to highlight more local news and events. Meanwhile, you can still post local events, blogs or community and business announcements (the "Conversations" tab). Do you have a great story or event? Don't wait on us. Share it by using the tabs at the top of the page or email greg.hambrick@patch.com.
