The Coalition of The Silence is a new organization committed to empowering communities whose children are underrepresented at the highest level of academic achievement and overrepresented in the discipline systems in Fairfax County Public Schools. Economically disadvantaged students, African American and Latino students, and students with disabilities are at the heart of our Coalition.
Our mission is to empower communities to insist on better outcomes for their children, as evidenced by closing the academic achievement gap at all levels and ending the discipline gap.

Gum Springs Community Center is located on Fordson Road in Alexandria.
