Books for America is a local 501(c)(3) non-profit that helps build and improve libraries in Washington, DC area schools, shelters, prisons and more; we support reading programs; and we provide children in the Nation's Capital with their first take-home books.

We are hosting a 5-day long used book, CD & DVD sale in Old Town Alexandria! The venue is conveniently location right off King Street across the street from Bertucci’s and Austin Grill. We will have about 5,000 books out initially on Thursday and will be restocking constantly as the sale goes on.
On Monday all items will be reduced in price for immediate sale!

Most items are priced $1-$3.

We will also be accepting donations at this event and giving out information about how teachers and other organizations can receive a grant of books from Books for America!  Of course you can donate books, DVDs, CDs, laptops, cell phones, etc. to us at anytime - visit our website www.booksforamerica.org for more info.
