We will have a car wash (cost is a donation of canned goods and a freewill donation), an activity fair, and a bake sale. Food donations will go to the UCM Food Bank, monetary donations for the car wash will go to the United Methodist Committee on Relief's "Imagine No More Malaria Project" to buy mosquito nets, and the proceeds from the bake sale will be used to buy much-needed books for Groveton Elementary School's reading program. Also, Fair Trade coffee and chocolate will be available for sale.

More About Mount Vernon United Methodist Church
This beautiful church has stood atop a hill on the wooded, southern edge of Belle Haven for over a half-century. With school during the week and service on Sundays, this Methodist community keeps busy.
The preschool enrolls 60 children annually and employs two teachers for every classroom. When asked if the school requires uniforms, Director Mindi Spenner said, "No. We do encourage play clothes because sometimes you have to get messy to really learn."
