The American Association of University Woman (AAUW) invites you to attend a presentation on Nutrition and Food Quality for Better Health. Join them at 6:00 p.m. for a showing of Robert Kenner’s award winning film Food, Inc. This film reveals surprising and often shocking truths about what we eat, how our food is produced, and who we have become as a nation. Refreshments will be served preceding a panel presentation at 7:45 p.m. The panel will include James Bourne of The Lamb’s Quarter in Calvert County, Hope Warshaw, a local nutritionist, Maurine Moodie, an organic farmer, and Edourd Sooh of Healthway Natural Foods. The panel will discuss how our nation’s food supply is now controlled by a handful of corporations that often put profit ahead of consumer health, the livelihood of the American farmer, the safety of workers, and our own environment. You’ll never look at dinner the same way.
