West Potomac High School is proud to announce that Hellen Moffitt signed a Letter of Intent to swim for the University of North Carolina next year. 

Hellen is a Swimming World five-star recruit and trains year round with Machine Aquatics.

Hellen is a member of West Potomac’s 2012 State winning 200 Freestyle Relay Team and set a 2012 Northern Region record in the 200 Medley Relay.  Hellen competed at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials in the 100 meter and 200 meter backstroke events and is a 2-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.  Academically, she is an AP Scholar with Distinction, a member of the National Honor Society and a Northern Region Scholar Athlete. 

Hellen is an Assistant Swim Coach for the Mansion House Swim Club in Mount Vernon and is a volunteer swim instructor for the Nadar Por Vida in Fairfax teaching at-risk Latino children to swim.
