Two Gunpoint Robberies Reported Near Hybla Valley Elementary
The following arrest information was supplied by the Fairfax County police department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
Two robberies near Hybla Valley Elementary School were reported within three days, according to police.
In each incident, two suspects with guns robbed victims of their wallets near the intersection of Lockheed Boulevard and Saul Road. The first incident took place on March 31 around 12:30 a.m. and included an assault of the victim, according to police. The second occurred on April 2 around 10 p.m.
In separate and unrelated incidents:
- A suspicious noise summoned police to a vacant apartment in the 7900 block of Audubon Avenue on March 30 at around 5:30 a.m. According to police, two men ran from the apartment and stole an unlocked and running vehicle from the parking lot. Police later located the vehicle, but not the suspects.
- Police arrested and charged a man after he allegedly spat on a 19-year-old woman in a business in the 8600 block of Richmond Highway on March 30, at around 1 p.m. James Fisher, 45, of no fixed address is charged with assault.
- A homeowner in the 2300 block of Fort Drive reported destruction on April 1 between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. The home's front door was forced open and damaged, but nothing appearing missing, according to police.
