Lemme guess... crazy "Jesus" John who lives aboard his boat: "J.J." ?
He's a nice friendly guy, but does have his _conspiracy_theories_ and dislike of authority/government. I didn't even know he owned a gun. But I do know helicopters have been overflying his boat often/low enough that its annoying to him.

They haven't, and I doubt they will. He always claimed his father was someone of "importance"... so its possible this will be _covered_up. Time to enact the Freedom of Information Act? :-x

It was JJ. Approx 1830 yesterday, he allegedly fired 4 shots at a Coast Guard helicopter. Witnesses saw the copter, heard the shots and one was told by JJ that he was involved. Police arrived by land and sea from about 1900. They gathered witnesses and evacuated the marina. Law enforcement for Fairfax County, Park Service, DCHarbor Patrol, Coast guard, and eventually the FBI along with a SWAT team secured the marina and ended the standoff peacefully when JJ surrendered without incident at 0200.
