Southeast Fairfax Development Corporation unveiled its new office and recognized local property owners for their beautification efforts at its open house Wednesday night.
Residents turned out in droves at the open house, which was hosted at SFDC's new office in Groveton.
"I'm completely floored by the turnout," Versel said. "I was expecting half as many people."
The following commercial property owners received Mary Thonen Beautification Awards for making extraordinary efforts to beautify their sites.
- Taco Bell, 7230 Richmond Highway
- Huntington Gateway
- Chili's
- 6910 Richmond Highway office building
- Mount Zephyr Commons
Montebello was also recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award for its longtime commitment to beautification.
