Fairfax County Police shot a man on Olde Mill Court on Memorial Day after the man confronted police with a knife. The police were serving the man with an arrest warrant. His identity has not yet been released, and the incident is still under investigation.

Del. Scott Surovell led a second cleanup of Little Hunting Creek on Memorial Day weekend. Surovell and community volunteers pulled 25 shopping carts out of the creek.
