Fairfax County police have arrested a woman and charged an accomplice in connection with a burglary the night of May 19 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

Tatyana Shields, 18, of 1900 Rampart Drive was arrested around 1 p.m. Tuesday at her home. She was charged with one count of burglary.

Warrants have been issued for the arrest of Edward Hetzel, 18 of Wildwood, N.J., on charges of burglary, grand larceny and destruction of property. Hetzel is currently being held in New Jersey on charges of burglary and theft there.

Officers responded to the burglary at the church, located at 1307 Collingwood Road, upon report of an overnight burglary. They found the burglars had entered the church, forced open several interior doors, damaged property and stole some items.

Detectives from the Mount Vernon District Station’s criminal investigations section followed up on the case and received tips in their investigation, according to the police department.

I am pretty sure based on the tattoo on her chest of "Only God Can Judge Me", that he is not judging her but shaking his head in shame.

Very sad, especially knowing it's a neighborhood kid. I am sorry Tatyana exercised such poor judgement and for the pain her actions have invariably inflicted on her family. This is a parent's worst nightmare and they have my empathy and compassion.

I agree with Beth - Tatyana was a sweet child growing up and I know that this terrible error in judgement has broken her parents' hearts.
