Two unknown suspects shot two homeless men with a BB gun on Sept. 12 in the Mount Vernon District, according to Fairfax County police.

The incident occurred at 11:15 p.m. in the 7900 block of Richmond Highway. The homeless men were sitting in the area when they were shot. One man was not injured, but the second received minor injuries. The perpetrators ran from the scene.

In separate and unrelated incidents:

• A burglary was reported at 4 p.m. Sept. 7 in the 6100 block of North Kings Highway. A resident returned home to find that someone entered the home and stole several items, including jewelry and a computer. Forced entry was made through a rear window.
• Tools were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 5800 block of Apple Wood Lane.
• A rear tailgate was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 2800 block of Arlington Drive.
• Cash and electronics were reported stolen from a business in the 8100 block of Fordson Road.
• A bottle of wine was reported stolen from a business in the 2300 block of Huntington Avenue.
• Beverages and cigarettes were reported stolen from a business in the 5800 block of North Kings Highway.
• A bottle of liquor was reported stolen from a business in the 6200 block of North Kings Highway.
• A tote bag was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 6400 block of Olmi Landrith Drive.
• A gun was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 2500 block of Parkers Lane.
• Tools were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 6100 block of Pike Court.
• Four tires were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 6100 block of Richmond Highway.
• A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 6600 block of Richmond Highway.
• Fuses were reported stolen from a business in the 7400 block of Richmond Highway.
• A license plate was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 7400 block of Richmond Highway.
• A six-pack of beer was reported stolen from a business in the 8200 block of Richmond Highway.
• A necklace was reported stolen from a residence in the 8500 block of Richmond Highway.
• Chainsaws were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 8600 block of Richmond Highway.
• A cell phone and cash were reported stolen from a business in the 8700 block of Richmond Highway.
• A purse was reported stolen from a residence in the 7100 block of Tolliver Street.
• A Toyota Solara was reported stolen from the 3300 block of Beechcliff Drive.
• A Toyota Corolla was reported stolen from the 600 block of Richmond Highway.
• A 1993 Honda Accord was reported stolen from the 6000 block of Richmond Highway.
• A 2006 Nissan Quest was reported stolen from the 8700 block of Richmond Highway.
