Police: Alexandria Man Charged with Being Drunk in Public
FCPD recently switched from weekly crime reports to daily activity reports. The following information was supplied by the Fairfax County Police Department in their daily report released March 18. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

On the above map, the addresses are block numbers, not specific home or business numbers. The following items are from the recent daily activity report from the Mount Vernon Police District of the Fairfax County Police Department.
DRUNK IN PUBLIC, 2300 block of Huntington Avenue, 3/16/13, 5:45 a.m. Officers were called for a man allegedly attempting to enter a home. The police helicopter was in the area and assisted in locating the suspect who ran. Charles McClish, 55, of Alexandria, was charged with drunk in public.
GRAFFITI, 4300 block of Lawrence Street, 3/16/13, 5:30 p.m. A resident reported juvenile boys were seen spray painting a fence. The owner was notified to remove the graffiti.
DWI/PURSUIT, Franklin Street/Richmond Highway, 3/17/13, 2 a.m. An officer attempted a traffic stop for a suspected drunk driver and the vehicle sped away. The driver stopped about a mile away. Juan Chavez, 45, of Manassas Park, was charged with DWI, speed to elude, driving on a suspended license and refusal.
