On Friday night in Belle Haven, members of the Fairfax County Police and Fire and Rescue Departments were honored at a tribute dinner and award ceremony. The awards, given annually by the Mount Vernon-Lee Chamber of Commerce, honors those who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in their work in public service.
Awards were given to officers and service officials from the Franconia Police Station, the Mount Vernon Police Station, the Fort Belvoir Fire and Police Stations, and the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department.
