  • WHAT: A group of adults from Aldersgate organizes a weekly evening of volleyball open to all.

    Bike with a Ranger

    • WHAT: Ride the Mount Vernon Trail with a National Park Service ranger.
    • WHEN: Saturday, October 8, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
    • WHERE: Riverside Park, GW Pkwy & Stratford Ln, Alexandria, VA 22301
    • HOW MUCH: Free

    Night Walk

    • WHAT: A walk through the wetlands looking for bats and beavers with naturalist PJ Dunn
    • WHEN: Saturday, October 8, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
    • WHERE: Huntley Meadows Park
    • HOW MUCH: $6

      Paddle with a Ranger

      • WHAT: A guided canoe or kayak tour around the Dyke Marsh Wildlife Preserve with a National Park Service Ranger
      • WHEN: Sunday, October 9, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
      • WHERE: Belle Haven Park and Marina
      • HOW MUCH: $3 launch fee
