Low Turnout In Huntington-Belle Haven
Turnout dwindled during the day but over an hour remains before polls close
Here are the results of three local precincts ahead of the closing rush:
- Belle Haven precinct (West Potomac High School): 540 votes or 24 percent turnout at 5 p.m.
- Belle View precinct (Belle View Elementary): 485 votes or 19 percent turnout at 5 p.m.
- Grovesnor precinct (Huntington Community Center): 242 or 12 percent turnout at 5:20 p.m.

Does anyone have thoughts on why turnout was very low in Huntington-Belle Haven?
I am told by Sept. flood victims, they feel the county is backing away from creating effective, sustainable solutions. I am listening and will take responsible action.
