By 9 a.m., more than 50 voters had shown up at Rose Hill Elementary School to vote in the primary battles in the 30th and 39th State Senate districts, according to Fairfax Democrats volunteer Todd Smith.

Hollin Hall Center was one of several precincts split between two districts. This precinct offered both a GOP primary (36th Senate District) and a Democratic primary (30th Senate District).

Carolyn Price came out to vote in the primary elections on Tuesday at Hybla Valley Elementary School. The school is a split precinct; voters could vote in both the 30th Senate District Demoratic primary and the 36th Senate District Republican primary.

Volunteer Johnnie Collins manned a table filled with literature about area Democratic candidates this morning at Hollin Hall Center. The center is a split precinct, where voters could vote in the Democratic primary for the 30th Senate District or the Republican primary for the 36th Senate District.
