Police responded to a report of a break-in at St Luke's Episcopal Church in Fort Hunt on Monday at around 12:30 a.m. The county police's helicopter assisted officers on the ground.
There was also a report of a burglary at St. Louis Catholic Church on Popkins Lane.
"Some juveniles were arrested," according to Fairfax County Police Department spokesperson Lucy Caldwell. "But we believe there are some who fled and got away. Hence the helicopter."
Caldwell said police are looking into whether the juveniles involved in the apparent church burglaries were also involved in incidents in the Hollin Hall neighborhood.
