My mom, Lucy Lyons Willis, is THE best mom! She works so hard at her job at Dr. Howard Lando's office and is a true gem to the community. Patients call our to her in a restaurant or a store and she always has time for them and a smile. I'm lucky to have her for my Mom; she'll tell you like it is, make you feel better when you're not, and tell you to snap out of it when you're taking life too seriously. She's a super grandmother to my boys too.

In the weeks leading up to Mother's Day, Patch asked for photos of your mom along with some info about why she deserves to be called the "Best Mom in Greater Alexandria.
The winner of the 2012 contest: Lucy Lyons Willis. Her daughter, Tanya, told Patch she's lucky to have her mom.
