Fairfax Food Providers Network Meets at UCM

The group met on February 25 at United Community Ministries to tour UCM’s newly upgraded client-choice Cynthia Hull Food Pantry.

The Fairfax County Food Providers Network met at UCM in February to tour the newly upgraded client-choice Cynthia Hull Food Pantry. The Fairfax County Food Providers Network is comprised of representatives of more than 15 area local nonprofits that address food insecurity with food pantries and related programs.Cecelia Vergaretti of regional partner Capital Area Food Bank’s Lorton warehouse was the featured speaker.

UCM’s food pantry welcomes donations on nonperishable food items at 7511 Fordson Road in Alexandria every weekday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., as well as the first Sunday morning of each month.  For a list of most needed items, visit www.ucmagency.org or call (703) 768-7106.
