Crash Shuts Down North Kings Highway

No serious injuries were reported.

A two-vehicle crash has shut down North Kings Highway in the Groveton area, according to Fairfax County police.

The crash was reported at 12:49 p.m. at the intersection of North Kings Highway and Fairhaven Avenue, said police spokesman Don Gotthardt. It involved a sport utility vehicle and a Toyota Camry.

A woman in her 70s was trapped in one of the vehicles but has since been extricated, Gotthardt said. It was not immediately clear if anyone required hospitalization.

Traffic on North Kings Highway is being diverted to Fort Drive, Gotthardt said. Fire and rescue officials, along with paramedics, responded to the scene.
