West Potomac High School’s football team will play against Centreville High School at 7:30 p.m. Friday at West Potomac, located at 6500 Quander Road.

West Potomac coach Jeremiah Davis said he sees a “lot to improve on this week” as the team prepares for the game. Centreville boasts a “well organized team (with) experience playing in tough games,” he said.

“As in last week, we feel that special teams will play a vital role in helping us win,” Davis said in an email. “We will also believe that if we can control the ball and play four quarters of solid defense, we will be very competitive."

The Centreville coach was not available for comment this week.
