Body Found in Potomac River

A boater discovered the body on Tuesday afternoon just south of the Wilson Bridge.

 

The body of a man was recovered from the Potomac River just south of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge on Tuesday afternoon, according to Prince George's County Police Department.

A boater discovered the body of a black man at about 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday near Oxon Hill, Md., according to PGPD Corporal Mike Rodriguez.

Rodriguez said there were no obvious signs of trauma to the body, which has been sent to the medical examiner. Rodriguez said he didn't know how long the body had been in the water.

PGPD's homicide department is investigating the case, Rodriguez said.
