Adler Shopping Center May See Redevelopment
The rezoning plan will be up for a vote in March.
The Adler Shopping Center located at 6200 Richmond Highway may face redevelopment in coming months.
Local developer Capital Investment Advisors has formed a partnership with the current property owner to create preliminary plans for The Grande at Huntington, a 360-unit mid-rise residential development with 30,000 square feet of ground level retail, according to the Southeast Fairfax Development Corporation. Tenants of the shopping center include Fast Eddie's and Viet House.
The developers of this property have submitted a revised Comprehensive Plan Amendment, which was approved by the Department of Planning and Zoning on Dec. 4. The rezoning plan is under review by Fairfax County and will be voted upon by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors in March 2013.
The adopted text for this amendment can be viewed at http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/dpz/comprehensiveplan/adoptedtext/2011-14.pdf

Has anybody heard what's going to happen with the Viet House? That's a great place...hate to see them go out of business.

Would this also impact the strip of shops where the Domino's, the nail salon, and the Viet House are?
