Mount Vernon at Home organized its second annual cleanup at Sherwood Regional Library on Saturday.

The day went well with about 25 volunteers pitching in, said Barbara Sullivan, Mount Vernon at Home Executive Director.  We had about 25 volunteers. Among the volunteers were Bishop Ireton students, the MVHS football team, Friends of Sherwood Regional Library, Mount Vernon at Home members, and Alexandria Lawn, who donated their crew and equipment.

"We were able to do a lot in a short time," said Sullivan. "We organized this event as a thank you to the library."
