Hollin Hall Jazzercise raised $3,382 for the American Cancer Society with a benefit dance and fitness class May 12.
The money will be used to help patients cope with cancer, make them comfortable and to find treatments for the disease, Jazzercise instructor and benefit organizer Peggy Frydenlund said in a news release.
The benefit was held at Waynewood Elementary School and drew 60 participants. The event was team-taught by the nine instructors that teach each week at the Jazzercise location at the Hollin Hall Senior Center. Each participant received items from the American Cancer Society.
