Dr. Glenn Fatzinger is Mount Vernon District Citizen of the Year 2012

The Mount Vernon Council of Citizens' Associations is pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Glenn Fatzinger as the Mount Vernon District Citizen of the Year 2012 in recognition of his long-time service to the Mount Vernon community.
Fatzinger's service to the Mount Vernon District, Fairfax County and regional communities include:
- Sulgrave Manor Civic Association; Agape Reservoir Ministry; Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church (Issues/ Concerns, lecturer);
- Founder, Mount Vernon Council of Citizens' Associations (1968); Founder, Mount Vernon Community Band (1980); Mount Vernon District appointee to the Fairfax County Park Authority (1977- 81);
- Founder, NVCC Educational Fund, Inc (1979); Northern Virginia Community College Band (NVCC Alexandria) trumpet and euphonium instrumentalist; established two fully endowed nursing scholarships at NVCC (2011); Strayer University, business education instructor; Washington Redskins Band, trumpet instrumentalist (1985-97).
Fatzinger currently teaches business education at Marymount University, Arlington.
